Sociology results down? 41,900 students sat AS Sociology in summer 2009. Of these, 16.2% achieved an A grade (down 0.6% from 2008) and the overall pass rate was 86.2% (down 0.5%). Of the 29,445 students who sat A-level Sociology, 21% achieved an A grade (down nearly 1% from 2008) and the overall pass rate was 98.1% (up 0.4%).
