Help children access maths at all levels with Collins New Primary Maths: Assisting Maths
Intervention for children struggling in Maths is a key topic for teachers across the country. The DCSF has said schools need to ‘devote more time to English and mathematics for those who have fallen behind’, DCFS White Paper, Your child, your schools, our future: building a 21st century schools system, 30th June 2009.
As a response to this teacher demand and in line with the recommendations on intervention from the independent Williams review (June 08) Collins Education has created Assisting Maths.
Whole School Maths Intervention
As a new addition to the popular Collins New Primary Maths series, Assisting Maths is a whole school intervention programme to help children from 4-11 years old who are falling behind age-related expectations in maths.
Using a hands-on, practical approach with games, discussions and activities children can be engaged and empowered to overcome their barriers to learning.
