How do I find my way around collinseducation.com?
You can move around the main sections of the site by clicking on the tab menus at the top of the page. Then use either the left hand menus, or the drop down options in the middle of the screen to select a subject area. You can select to browse our books and software, or free resources using the buttons in the middle of the screen, or use the left hand menu to narrow down by type of resource, Key Stage, year group or age.
You can return to the homepage at any time by clicking on the Collins Education logo in the top left-hand corner.

How do I search collinseducation.com?
No matter what you are looking for, the quickest and easiest way to find it is to use the search box near the top of the screen. The search tool lets you search by ISBN, title, authors, subject or keywords.
Where can I find free additional resources on collinseducation.com?
There are over 2,000 free additional resources available to download.
- From the home page, use the drop down menu in the Free Resources box to select free resources for Primary or Secondary schools, you can then narrow down by subject area using the left hand menu.
- From a subject page, such as Literacy or English, select the Free resources for… button in the centre of the screen to view a list of all free resources for that subject, narrowing your choice by using the left hand menu.
- From a series page, such as Collins New Maths Frameworking, or product page such as Collins Big Cat: Cat and Dog, select the Free resources box under the image.
You can search for free resources, either by name, or by the name of the associated product using the Search bar near the top of the screen. The results will show two options, Books and Software and Free Resources. Select the Free Resources tab to browse.
For more information on Free Resources, select the Free Resources link from the left hand menu.
I've tried to search for a book but I can't find it on collinseducation.com?
All Collins Education titles that are currently in print are shown on this website. The quickest way to find things is to use the search box. Also see our Search tips. How do I contact my Local Sales Representative?
Select the Contact your Local Rep link, in the top turquoise bar on the right hand side. Use the drop down menu to choose your Local Education Authority then either complete the form to send a message directly or use the contact details to phone, fax or send an email.
Should I register as a school or as an individual? What’s the difference?
If you work at a UK school or establishment you can choose to register against your school – this will mean that if your school have an account with us you can order items on purchase order to be paid for by invoice. You still get the option of ordering on credit card but it just gives you the flexibility to pay one of two ways. You can also order evaluation copies.
If you are not attached to a UK school/establishment you should register as an individual. You will get the option just to pay by credit card as we cannot invoice to private addresses or addresses without an account.
I don’t get the option to order by invoice – only credit card. What am I doing wrong?
You must be registered as an individual. Only if you are registered against your school do you get the option to order on invoice. Register again here against your school – if they have an account with us you will be able to order items to be paid for by invoice and will also be able to order evaluation copies.
Help – I can’t find my school. What should I do?
Have you tried searching just by the full postcode? This gives the most accurate results. You don’t have to search by the school postcode and name; sometimes what you type in as your school name might differ slightly from what we have in our database so this might be why we can't find you. Your postcode is more likely to match exactly what we have. If you don’t know the whole postcode try the first three digits – you should then get a list of schools to choose from.
Why don’t you have my school in the database?
The database we use contains over 50,000 schools and is researched and updated regularly. However, we know that there are new schools being opened all the time as well as school mergers so it’s possible we haven’t found out about you yet. If for any reason we don’t have you in the database use our call back form so a member of our customer services team can contact you and get you set up.
In the basket there is a box for promotion codes – where do I get these and how do they work?
Promotion codes are on letters, faxes and emails that we send out to you and they give you discount on certain books or software. If you have been given a web promotion code (usually starts ‘WEB’ or ends with a ‘W’) then you can enter this on the basket page, click apply and the appropriate discount will be taken off any items you have in your basket which are covered by this code.
They usually have an end date, which should be stated on the letter/fax/email and they only apply to the listed items. Only one web promotion code can be applied to each book/software. We try not to send out codes that clash but if you do apply more than one code to the same item the best offer will automatically be selected, so that you get the best possible price.
I see lots of discount prices across the site, like the £1 books. I usually order by phone - can I still get these prices if I do this?
No, these are web-only discounts and you can only get these exclusive prices if you place the order online through the website.
